Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and LockIn, a product of Hey Hud LLC, an Indiana limited liability company (“LockIn”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the LockIn platform, services, or website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

LockIn is a software platform that enables ministry leaders to manage ministry operations — event planning, student management, and communication tools. LockIn provides software only: it does not provide ministry services, oversight, compliance management, or legal advice.

You are solely responsible for your use of the Service. You agree that:

• You are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and standards, including child protection laws (COPPA), FERPA where applicable, and TCPA rules governing text messaging.
• You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents and permissions, including parental consent for children under 13 and SMS opt-in consent.
• LockIn is not responsible for your actions, misuse, or illegal use of the Service, nor for your ministry decisions or practices.

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and keep it updated
• Maintain the security of your credentials and notify us immediately of unauthorized use
• Take responsibility for all activity under your account

Early access. LockIn is currently free during early access. There is no time limit and no credit card required. Text messaging (SMS) requires a paid subscription; planning, roster, and email and push comms are included at no cost. We will give notice before early access ends or before pricing changes for your ministry.

Billing. Subscription fees are billed in advance monthly or annually and are non-refundable except as required by law or stated in these Terms.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

Cancellation. You may cancel anytime in account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

If a ministry using LockIn sends you text messages, that messaging runs under the SMS messaging program described in our Privacy policy, which covers what kind of messages to expect, how often, and how to stop or get help. In short: message and data rates may apply, reply STOP to a ministry’s number to opt out at any time and HELP for help, and opting in to text messages is never a condition of registering with, attending, or otherwise participating in a ministry.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws, including child protection (COPPA), FERPA, or TCPA
• Harass, abuse, harm, or threaten others
• Collect or store personal data of children under 13 without proper parental consent
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or messages to recipients without consent
• Violate third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer, or impair the Service
• Access the Service with automated systems without permission

The Service — software, code, designs, and content — is owned by Hey Hud LLC or its licensors. You retain ownership of data you upload; you grant us a license to use, store, and process it solely to provide the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability for claims related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or opportunities.
• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind; we do not warrant it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• We are not liable for misuse of the Service by users or for user violations of laws or regulations.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hey Hud LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms or any laws (including COPPA, FERPA, and TCPA), your violation of third-party rights, content you upload, or your failure to obtain necessary consents. This obligation survives termination.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violations of these Terms. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases; you may export your data before termination, and we may delete data after a reasonable retention period.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Indiana, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may modify these Terms and will post material changes with an updated date; continued use constitutes acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement regarding the Service.
